Linda Martin

'The Glowing" digital design

Linda Martin, artist and writer, was born in Sydney and now lives at beautiful Wentworth Falls. In 1999 a series of her written and illustrated stories for children was published online, client Navneet. Linda works with pencil, acrylic, watercolour and has enjoyed exploring the challenge of computer-generated design.
She represented Australia at India’s first International Digital Art Exhibition at the Oxford Gallery Calcutta and in 2000 at the Nehru Gallery Mumbai. In 2001 she won third place in MOCA’s digital art contest. In the same year, at the invitation of Dr Rodney Chang (Hawaii) she held her first solo exhibition. Prints of her digital work were hung at the SOKI International Exchange exhibition at the Gallery Wooduk, Seoul, Korea.
Closer to home, both in 2003 and 2005 Linda won first prize
in the computer-generated section, Port Macquarie’s Annual Art Show.
Linda has certificates in fine art and information technology and in 2005 was awarded a full residential scholarship to study botanical illustration at Charles Sturt Uni (Mitchell College). She recently completed, with distinction, a TAFE course in Writing and Editing Skills.
