ROBYN P CLARKE

Robyn P Clarke’s formal art education was at the East Sydney Technical College (National Art School) and she graduated in art from Alexander Mackie College (COFA). She later added to this a Masters in Printmaking from the National Art School.

She has had numerous exhibitions in Melbourne, including at the Stuart Gerstman Gallery, Roar Studios and Distelfink Gallery. In Sydney she has shown at the Holdsworth Gallery, Barry Stern, and with the Harris Courtin Gallery, all in the Paddington/Wollahra area.

She has been Craft Critic for The Age newspaper in Melbourne, and wrote on craft for the revised edition of the Encyclopedia of Australian Art. She appears in the Dictionary of Australian Women Artists (editor Max Germaine). She has taught art (secondary and tertiary) in Melbourne, Sydney and London.

Since she came to the Blue Mountains in 2003 she has shown with the Hat Hill Gallery in Blackheath and has been a guest exhibitor at the Gallery Blackheath in Govetts Leap Road. She has won Second Prize at a recent Blackheath Art Society exhibition.

Her work is part of the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Victoria and the Geelong Art Gallery, and she is represented in many private collections in New South Wales and Victoria.
